Love STEM? We Want to Give You MONEY!

The Girls in Technology Committee has 10 college scholarships and we want YOU to win one! Each year Women in Technology’s Girls in Technology (GIT) Committee provides scholarships to girls in grades 6 to 12 in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia who participate in our programs. 

Applying is EASY! All you have to do is submit a video or a 250 word essay that answers the following questions:
1.    If you could choose any career the STEM field, what would you be and why?
2.    What advice would you give to girls that are interested in careers in the STEM field?
3.    Which Girls in Technology program did you attend and how has it benefited you?
4.    How would you use your scholarship?

Take advantage of this opportunity. You have a great chance of winning one of these scholarships. Last year there were only 32 applications!

Our scholarships aim to reduce the financial barriers you may face as you pursue college studies in STEM fields.

Scholarships available are:

(1) $5000 HYPERLINK “http://www.stemforher.org/”STEM for Her cash scholarship

(4) $1500 HYPERLINK “http://www.freddiemac.com/”Freddie Mac cash scholarships

(4) $250 STEM Experience scholarships funded by STEM for Her

$5000 in STEM Experience scholarships funded by  Eagle Ray, Inc.

Requirements for entry:

Applicant must have participated in a GIT program, attended a GIT event in the 2016/2017 program year, or have registered for an upcoming event prior to the scholarship application submission deadline.

Entries must be submitted no later than 11:59pm on March 31, 2017. Submission received after the deadline will not be considered.
